DC Comics and IDW Publishing work in collaboration for the crossover event of the decade. Two of the most famous entertainment icons get together for the first time in a story that fans never imagined they would see. In Gotham City, a sequence of deadly raids leads Batman to believe he is up against a group of extremely trained ninjas.

As it turns out, the Foot Clan is on the loose. Somehow, they have crossed to a different dimension and are resolute to take advantage of the situation while looking to get back home. But they have not come alone: Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo are on their trace.

This story begin in the middle of a battle with the alien conqueror Krang, the Mutant Ninja Turtles, their master Splinter, and their enemy Shredder with a good number of Foot Ninjas have been transported to an other universe. While the Foot tries to steal a variety of components from labs in Gotham to work out a means of returning home, as well as abducting a scientist doing follow a line of investigation into cross-dimensional trek, the Turtles stop the various thefts, even though the Foot still go away with their gathered equipment. Batman is confused by the inhuman descriptions of some of the participants, and at the fact that the crimes were executed by ninjas. Predicting a break-in at one of his own facilities, he takes out the raiding Foot ninjas and has a short meet with the Shredder, before the final retreats.

This comic book is full of excitement as a variety of characters from both worlds fight and team up in a larger-than-life battle that threatens the very fabric of reality!
