This comic is about the beginning of this super hero. Abandoned by his mother, Matt Murdock was raised by his father, boxer Jack “Battler” Murdock, in Hell’s Kitchen (District of Manhattan, New York). Realizing that the rules are necessary to prevent people from behaving improperly, the young Matt decided to study law. However, in trying to prevent an accident, a truck spilled its radioactive cargo leaving Matt blind; surprisingly, the radiation increased its remaining four senses.
Matt perfectionist his senses and became an extraordinary fighter due the teaching of blind martial arts master Stick. He also attended the School of Law at Columbia with his best friend, Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, but before obtaining his doctorate, his father was murdered by agents of the Arrangement (Roscoe Sweeny) for refusing to lose a fight.
Enraged when the legal system did not take the Arrangement to justice, Matt put on a suit made of the gown boxing from his father and went into action as Daredevil, savagely attacking the murderers of his father and terrifying at the same Arrangement, taking him to death. With the establishment of a small law firm in New York with Foggy, Matt pledged day to serve the Law as attorney Matt Murdock and night fighting the bad guys beyond the scope of Law as Daredevil, the man without fear.
In this comic book the author Stan Lee, present the story about how Matt Murdock became in Daredevil, he also introduces the first participation of several important characters Foggy Nelson, the bets friend of Matt, and Karen Page. Some classic villains are also including the Owl, Stilt-Man, the Purple Man and the Gladiator.
For this comic, Stan Lee counts whit collaboration of artists Joe Orlando, Bill Everett, Wallace Wood, Gene Colan and John Romita Sr.
