This volume of the X-Men was a creation of Jeff Lemire and Rick Remender as writer and in the art zone the artists in charged were Victor Ibanez and Humberto Ramos.

At the same time as one team of X-Men stages a brave rescue operation in Weirdworld, another team digs deep into the psyche of their own colleague! Strange is nothing new for hard-bitten mutants like Old Man Logan, Iceman, Colossus and Magik; however can Storm and Jean Grey ever be ready for what lies in the mind of Nightcrawler? After that, it is an All-New take on a good old shaped X-Men adventure in time. The destiny of mutantkind is more easily broken than ever and now it rests in the hands of one of the most frightening adversaries of the X-Men, the immortal Apocalypse.

To save the present time, the X-Men battle into a dangerous future against Apocalypse and his new Horsemen. And like and special and out of the ordinary fact one of those Horsemen is a Venom-powered Wolverine!

Confined in the far away future, Colossus and his team of young X-Men race across a dying Earth to defend the key of the existence of the mutantkind. But Apocalypse and his new team are in hot hunt, impatient to take it from them.
A cruel and determinant fight for the ages is about to start on but who will stay alive the Apocalypse Wars? Will the X-men run faster than Apocalypse and his new Horsemen? Will the Extraordinary X-Men enter in time to save the future of their kind and their friends?
